Upgrades are additional items within the game that cost various resources to unlock. Once unlocked, each upgrade will provide a special boost to resource production (or other things) which stays when rewinding time in the game.

As of version 2.3.4, there are a total of 477 upgrades.

Buildings Upgrades[]

Each resource-producing building has a certain amount of upgrades associated with it; the first is unlocked at purchase of one of the associated buildings, then another each at 5, 25, 50, 75, 100, 125, 150, 200, 250, 300, 350, 400, 500, 600, 700, 800, and 900 purchases. (Not all buildings will have an upgrade at each increment.)

Each upgrade tier from tier 2 onwards has a color scheme.

Tier 2 (5 buildings)- Light Orange

Tier 3 (25 buildings)- Gray

Tier 4 (50 buildings)- Yellow

Tier 5 (75 buildings)- Red

Tier 6 (100 buildings)- Blue

Tier 7 (125 buildings + Magic Mining)- Light Purple

Tier 8 (150 buildings)- Cyan

Tier 9 (200 buildings)- Purple

Tier 10 (250 buildings)- Dark Purple

Tier 11 (300 buildings)- White

Tier 12 (350 buildings)- Darker Purple

According to a demon historian, 35,000 years ago "some masked asshole tried to sneak into the boss's HQ". This sword and the mask (made of the same strange material) are all that remain of the stranger, after "the boss taught him a lesson". This incident was one of the only times in history that demons were killed, and as said by the Devil, "the only time I ever got a real challenge".

As a test of this sword's strength, Agent Johnson cut one of our swords that cuts through everything clean in half. He wanted to attempt chopping down a Finality Tree next, but the plan was vetoed by literally everyone else.

Agent Johnson attempted to chop down a Finality Tree with an adamantium axe to build this trophy. Nearly microscopic shards of adamantium were everywhere, and a large crater was found 21 miles away. The Tree was unscratched. Johnson arrived to the RUC the next day, and reportedly said "I'm gonna need a bigger axe."
He was banned from The Finality Plateaus, on the grounds that it took a complex reality script to remove the adamantium shards.
